Description: Flying on a special flight during Christmas with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, from Bali to Singapore as flight KL836. This flight is operated with the B777-300ER. Before the flight, I stayed at Novotel Bali Ngurah Rai Airport, which was directly connected to the airport (1 minute walk from the terminal). It was a very comfortable stay with truly wonderful hospitality from the hotel staff. There was also live music on this special Christmas night. Check-in was very smooth as I had checked-in online and only required a printed boarding pass. At the airside, my gripe was that the boarding gate was changed three times - from Gate 2 to 9A to 6, giving me a free tour of the terminal. Boarding the aircraft, the cabin crew warmly wished "Merry Christmas!". After take-off, dinner was served, with an Indonesian dish of Ayam Bakar Sambal dan Nasi Goreng Kunyit (Spicy grilled chicken with turmeric fried rice) served with a choice of beverage. I opted for white wine (The Elements by Julien Schaal Sauvignon Blanc - Chardonnay). The KLM cabin crew were very nice, and I am very appreciative of their good service on this short 5th freedom flight.
